Glory Agbor, wife of Dickson Agbor, the lawmaker representing Obubra I State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, has denied claims that her husband physically assaulted her
The controversy began after a video circulated online showing Glory appearing injured, allegedly as a result of a domestic dispute with her husband. The footage sparked public outrage and prompted the Cross River State House of Assembly to place Dickson Agbor on indefinite suspension, citing violent behaviour.

In a new video shared on social media, Glory dismissed the allegations as “baseless,” asserting that no such incident took place. She suggested that the viral video may have been fabricated or manipulated, possibly using artificial intelligence, as part of a smear campaign intended to tarnish her husband’s reputation ahead of upcoming political events.
“I am out here to tell Nigerians and all persons both home and abroad that what has been online for the past three to four days is a false accusation and nothing of such actually happened,” she said.
“Maybe it is AI, or they want to use that to blackmail me and my husband. You know the election is around the corner, and maybe they want to use that one to bring him down. Nothing of the sort happened to me. Look at me, I am okay, I am good. Did you see any mark on my face or anything of such? Nothing of such ever happened.”
