Precious Oruche, popularly known as Mama Pee, has appealed to Nigerians to think carefully about the choices they make ahead of the country’s next political chapter.
Mama Pee, an Edo-born activist and social media personality who is well known for her support for Peter Obi, said leadership should be about competence and national development, not tribe, religion, political party or personal gain.
In a video posted, she said:
“You see many people on this internet now, future generations will definitely question the choices we made. Nigerians have no other choice than to choose Mr Peter Obi at this critical time. How do you explain to your children that you chose tribe over transformation, personal gain over national growth, religion over reform, or political party over progress?”.
Mama Pee also claimed that Peter Obi once turned down a reported mansion gift from a group of companies, asking instead that the resources be used to build schools and student hostels in his community.
She said that story is one of the reasons she continues to support him, describing it as an example of putting the public interest ahead of personal comfort.
