Olympique de Marseille is set to withdraw from the pursuit of Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah, as they near the completion of signing Elye Wahi from Racing Club de Lens, reports Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport
Marseille has agreed to a €30m deal, including €5m in bonuses, for the 21-year-old France U21 international.
This transfer will allow Lens to recoup a significant portion of the €35m they paid to Montpellier for Wahi last summer.
With Wahi’s signing imminent, Marseille will reportedly focus on other targets, ending their interest in Nketiah.
