May Yul-Edochie Queen May and estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has served a cease-and-desist notice on her former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, and a US-based woman, Yinka Theisen, over alleged cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and defamation
Through her legal representatives, Graylaw Partners, Queen May claimed that both individuals made multiple damaging posts about her on social media platforms including X, Instagram, and Facebook, which she says have harmed her reputation and business interests.

In letters sent separately to Ugwuonye and Theisen, her lawyers demanded that they immediately stop publishing such content, remove existing posts, issue a public apology, and retract the statements across all platforms where they appeared. Queen May is also seeking N1 billion in damages from Ugwuonye and N500 million from Theisen.
The notice to Ugwuonye accused him of mishandling confidential information during their professional relationship, using privileged details in ways that allegedly undermined her interests. Her lawyers described his actions as a breach of trust and professional ethics that worsened the reputational harm.
Similarly, the letter to Theisen alleged that she amplified negative narratives about Queen May online and encouraged others to spread them, further damaging her reputation.
Both notices gave the recipients 48 hours to comply, warning that failure to do so would leave Queen May no choice but to pursue civil and criminal legal action to protect her rights and reputation.
