Adura Aloba, the brother of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, has finally spoken out about the events surrounding the singer’s tragic d8ath
In an interview with Object TV, Adura gave a detailed account of Mohbad’s final days, including his struggles, injuries, treatment, and the circumstances of his bur!al.
His statement comes after weeks of silence from key individuals like Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, and cousin Darosha, despite the viral documentary released by social commentator VeryDarkMan.
Adura corroborated earlier claims that Mohbad had been ass@ulted by show promoter Sam Larry and his associates during a music video shoot with Zlatan.
He alleged that Sam Larry once thr8atened the singer at gvnpoint. He also recalled a disturbing incident at the Marlian house, where label boss Naira Marley allegedly ordered dogs on Mohbad while his crew b8at him.
Recounting events on Setember 10, 2023, Adura said they had attended a show in Ikorodu and decided to wait for Zlatan before leaving. While parked in two different SUVs, area boys approached Mohbad for money.
“I was in the second Prado. Mohbad was in the first Prado with Wunmi, Prime Boy, Spending, and two others. Prime Boy came to meet me, but he was high, so I told him to leave. That upset him and he reported to Mohbad. While Darosha and I went to withdraw cash, a fight broke out between Mohbad and Prime Boy.”
Adura said Mohbad later told him Prime Boy punched him. Though Wunmi tried to downplay the incident, Adura said Mohbad ended up breaking the car window out of frustration.
After they returned home, Adura noted that Mohbad’s injured hand was still bleeding but less severely. The following morning, the singer began complaining about the pain and requested medical attention.
Their usual nurse was unavailable, so another nurse was contacted through Spending. She eventually arrived on Tuesday, September 12, and began treatment in Mohbad’s room, which had water on the floor from a rain leak.
“About 10–15 minutes later, I heard them shouting my name. I ran upstairs and found Mohbad on the floor struggling to speak. The nurse said she had injected him. He couldn’t talk but pointed at water, which I used to wash his face, and also pointed at the AC. We moved him into a cooler room for better ventilation.”
Adura said he rushed outside to get a car, but by the time he returned, Mohbad had already been placed in a vehicle. Due to heavy traffic, they transferred him to a bike. He was gasping for breath on the way.
“At the hospital, the doctor attended to him for about 15 minutes before declaring him de8d. We then took him to another hospital, but they refused to admit him, confirming he was ‘Brought In De8d’ at the entrance.”
He added that the mechanic had finished fixing Mohbad’s car, so they placed the singer’s body in it and returned home.
“We laid him in the living room. Darosha suggested placing salt on his chest to preserve the body, as done with our late dad. We did it. When Daddy arrived and saw the salt, he thought we had embalmed him. He insisted Mohbad be buried that night. We disagreed, but he wouldn’t back down,” he narrated.
