Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo has revealed his Nigerian roots, stating that his father hails from Lagos State while his mother is from Ekiti
The 27-year-old, who was born in London and raised in Manchester, shared these details during an interview with Arise News as he reflected on his football journey and friendship with Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer.
“My mum is from Ekiti. Our plan is to go there and look around where my mum was raised and lived,” he said. “My brother will know better than me, my dad is from Lagos.”
Adarabioyo also spoke about growing up in Manchester and his long-standing connection with Palmer, noting that both of them came through the Manchester City academy and share many mutual friends.
His comments come shortly after he paid a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday.
