There are always conversations about whether cooking should automatically become a woman’s responsibility once she’s in a relationship
For social media personality Simi Sanya, that expectation has never made sense, and she explained it with a personal example from her own marriage during an appearance on the Talk Your Talk podcast.
She said; “You can’t tell me to come to your house over the weekend and be cooking for you because we’re in a relationship, was that the plan? No? Didn’t I tell you before?
Like me now in my marriage, I only know how to cook spaghetti and yam and egg, bread and tea and the boy has know and he hasn’t fought me since I got married he has been eating the spaghetti with all goodness in his heart. Did he d!e?”
Using her own experience, she explained that her cooking is quite simple, yet it has never been a problem in her marriage.
According to her, her husband has happily eaten the meals she knows how to make since they got married without complaints, showing that a relationship doesn’t have to be built around traditional expectations of who should cook or how often.
