In a recently circulated interview clip, the Afrobeat star reflected on how his family coped during the period his father, the legendary Fela Kuti, was in prison. While discussing those difficult years, Seun recounted a rather unusual method his mother allegedly used to support her husband behind bars.
“My mum once hid ‘igbo’ inside bread to give my dad in prison,” he said, using the popular Nigerian slang for cannabis.
