Finnish content creator Ali Leiniö, known for sharing outdoor hiking adventures on YouTube, has d.ied while on a trek in northern Finland. He was 49 years old.
Leiniö had built a following of thousands subscribers by documenting his journeys through forests, wetlands, and remote natural areas, often showcasing Finland’s rugged and quiet wilderness landscapes.
According to Finnish media reports, he was found in the Käsivarre Wilderness area of Lapland, one of the country’s most remote and challenging hiking regions. Authorities believe he suffered a fatal seizure while on the trail. His body was later recovered after he had not been active for some time online.
Just over a week before his death, Leiniö had uploaded his final video titled “The Forbidden Mire: Roaming Southern Finland’s 2nd Largest Bog,” which has since drawn significant attention, surpassing 140,000 views.
It is still not confirmed whether he was actively filming new content in Lapland at the time of the incident. His passing has drawn attention from viewers who followed his outdoor journeys, many of which focused on exploring challenging and lesser-known natural environments in Finland.
