Singer Rybeena says he and his wife, Kidbaby, have decided not to have a child in Nigeria.
The singer made this known while speaking on the ‘Wahala Podcast’ where he talked about his concerns about raising a child in the country.
Rybeena stated that it is not just about the economy. He said his own experiences and the way things are in Nigeria have made him uncomfortable with the idea of raising a child here.
He said:
“My wife, Kidbaby and I have vowed not to have a child in this country because the country is far behind.
“Because of my experience and the way the country is, we are far behind among other countries even though we have most richest people in Africa.
“Our economy and everything. So us having a child here is messed up for real. Everyone here has the same mentality kind of common and it really matters.
Having kids in Nigeria is what scares me the most.”
He said the environment a child grows up in matters to him, and that is one of the main reasons he and his wife have made the decision not to raise their child in Nigeria.
