Comedian Deacon Famous believes a woman cannot genuinely love a man who already has another woman in his life.
In his recent post, he said:
“No second wife loves her husband genuinely, no side chick loves her man sincerely. It is not possible!” he said.
The comedian’s argument is that women generally do not like sharing the man they love. So, when a woman knowingly gets involved with a married man or becomes his second wife, he believes the relationship can gradually become about more than love.
Money, comfort, influence and other advantages, he said, can begin to play a bigger role in the relationship.
For him, the first wife has an advantage that another woman cannot easily replace. She was there before the marriage became complicated. She was there when the man was struggling, when money was not coming easily and when life was not as comfortable as it might be later.
Chidiebere pointed to divorced couples as an example. He recalled one couple who had been apart for years but still found themselves together at family occasions because of their children. By then, the children had grown up and there were grandchildren, yet the former husband and wife could still laugh, tease each other and enjoy each other’s company.
The actor believes moments like that show what years of living together can create. Even after a marriage ends, the memories and difficult seasons two people went through together can remain.
He said this is also why some men with more than one wife eventually seek out their first wives when they need someone who understands them emotionally.
Chidiebere’s advice to men was to think beyond the excitement of having another woman. He warned that polygamy can bring a lot of pressure, particularly when the responsibilities of several homes and children begin to pile up.
He described some men as simply being “indisciplined” around women, saying they want to have every woman they find attractive, much like someone who wants every kind of fruit available.
But wanting several women, he argued, is one thing. Being able to properly care for all the families that come with that choice is another.
