The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has successfully intercepted attempts to smuggle illegal drugs to the United Kingdom by uncovering hidden parcels of drugs within shipments of tiger nuts and groundnuts
NDLEA officers detected illicit drugs hidden in parcels of tiger nuts that were set to be sent to the UK. More drugs were found stashed in bags of groundnuts during a routine bus inspection.
Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy, shared videos of the seized shipments on social media, urging travelers to be cautious: “Always inspect any packages thoroughly before accepting them, regardless of how legitimate they seem.”
