Ned Nwoko has denied claims that he married superstar actress, Regina Daniels at 17. He made the clarification amid ongoing controversies surrounding their troubled marriage
Sharing a photo of Regina’s INEC voter’s card, Nwoko directly refuted claims that he married her when she was 17.
“It has come to my attention that false claims are being circulated by Regina, suggesting that I married her when she was 17 years old. These claims are entirely untrue and misleading,” he said.
Nwoko explained that when they first met, he asked Regina her age, and she told him she was 21. He further asked for documentation, and she presented her voter’s card, which clearly shows her birthdate as October 10, 1998. He stated, “I informed her that I would keep this document in my possession, and I have done so since that day.”
He also referenced a BBC interview granted by Regina’s mother after their marriage, which corroborates her age. According to all verifiable records, their marriage took place six years ago, meaning Regina is 27 years old today.
“Any suggestion that I married her at 17 is false and should not be accepted by the public. The facts are verifiable and indisputable,” Nwoko emphasized.
