Rapper Nicki Minaj is facing the potential loss of her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles after failing to pay a debt stemming from a 2019 lawsuit
Court documents filed in October reveal that a jury ordered Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, to pay $503,318 to former security chief Thomas Weidenmüller—a judgment that remains unpaid.

The case dates back to 2019 during Minaj’s Nicki Wrld Tour in Germany. Weidenmüller alleged that Petty assaulted him backstage, breaking his jaw and requiring surgery.
According to the report, Minaj had previously thrown a shoe at another security operative who failed to stop a male fan from climbing the stage. Petty allegedly punched Weidenmüller when he attempted to intervene.
Weidenmüller claims he underwent eight surgeries to repair his jaw, which included inserting five plates. He filed a lawsuit in 2024, but Minaj and Petty failed to respond, prompting the court to issue default judgments against them.
Weidenmüller’s lawyers are now seeking a court order to sell the couple’s Hidden Hills mansion to recover the debt. The 11-bedroom property is valued at roughly $20 million, with an existing mortgage of about $13 million. Court filings note that Minaj’s estimated net worth—between $150 million and $190 million—makes her fully capable of paying the judgment.
“The dwelling is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption, together just under $14 million,” the documents state. “The property’s fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus accrued interest and enforcement costs.”
Despite repeated written requests and levies served to her suspected creditors, Minaj has yet to pay, prompting Weidenmüller’s legal team to push for immediate enforcement of the judgment.
