Primate Ayodele has warned that Nigeria could take on even more debt, saying the country’s economic situation may become worse if the government continues on the same path.
He said the country would keep borrowing money, with the consequences eventually becoming clear in the state of the economy.
In a post shared, he said:
“Nigeria is accumulating more debt, and the government will soon borrow more money. At the end of the day, we will see that our economy is in shambles. If you vote for a particular government in the 2027 election.”
Ayodele’s warning comes ahead of the 2027 general election, with the economy and the direction of government expected to remain major issues for voters.
