Singer, Spyro has shared his frustrations on Instagram about the constant financial demands from fans and acquaintances
He revealed that being a celebrity in Lagos comes with a significant price tag, as he’s expected to give out large sums of money whenever he’s out.
According to Spyro, he spends at least ₦100,000 on handouts every time he goes out, amounting to ₦300,000 weekly, ₦1.2 million monthly, and a staggering ₦15 million annually. This financial strain has taken a toll on him, leaving him feeling drained.
Spyro expressed disappointment that everyone wants to take from him, but no one considers his well-being or offers to give back. He mentioned that even in public places and online, he’s constantly asked for financial help.
In solidarity, Spyro gave a shoutout to fellow celebrities facing similar struggles, praising their resilience and understanding in the face of these challenges.
He wrote: “Really hard being a celebrity in this lagos I told a guy I don’t have today and that I will see him next day and he rained insults on me Every day I step out of my house I spend a minimum of 100k on givings, now let’s do the maths..let’s say I go out 3 time a week, that’s 300k per week making 1.2m per month and that’s about 15million a year
