Watching the situation surrounding Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, widely known as Dotun, the popular Nigerian media personality, it’s hard to ignore the emotion behind it. His pain is evident.
His two children were reportedly taken out of Nigeria by his estranged wife, without his consent. And Of course, no responsible father who loves his kids won’t react.
Feeling ignored and frustrated, he reached out to NAPTIP, expecting the agency to step in and enforce the law, especially since there were existing court orders and legal restrictions in place.
In a fiery post, Dotun called them out directly:
“You @naptifnigeria when they kidnapped my two children out of the country with no consent? Out of the jurisdiction of Nigeria completely defiling the law; even an existing contempt of court; an existing court order; when they wrote you; what did you do?
This one is Selective eye service.”
He expected NAPTIP to act promptly, intervene where the law had already been established, and ensure the children were protected.
The frustration is palpable, and it’s hard not to feel the weight of the situation a parent powerless while the system seems slow to respond.
Dotun’s post isn’t just anger; it’s a call for accountability, and it sticks with you long after you read it.
