Popular social figure Cubana Chief Priest has commented on the recent political movement involving Peter Obi, following reports of his transition from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the New Democratic Congress (NDC).
Obi’s latest move has drawn attention within political circles, where party changes are often linked to internal disagreements, strategic positioning, and shifting alliances ahead of elections.
Reacting to the development, Cubana Chief Priest said, “Experience is the best teacher. Someday, I will write a book or better still tell my political story. In politics, the major competition is not the opposition; it’s your fellow party members. Na why Uncle Peter Obi dey run up and down from one party to another.”
Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and a presidential candidate in the last general election, has previously changed political platforms at different stages of his career.
His supporters have often described such decisions as strategic, while critics see them as a reflection of the broader instability within party structures.
Some political observers say internal party dynamics ranging from leadership disputes to competition over influence remain a key factor in such movements.
Obi has yet to publicly respond to the recent remarks, but his political decisions continue to attract reactions from different quarters.
