Nigerian Singer Yhemolee has advised individuals who undergo cosmetic dental procedures such as veneers to pay close attention to their oral hygiene routines, stressing that appearance alone is not enough without proper care.
He made the remarks while addressing the growing popularity of dental veneers, a cosmetic treatment used to enhance the appearance of teeth by making them look whiter and more uniform.
According to him, the investment people make in such procedures should be protected with consistent maintenance.
“If you spend thousands of dollars on veneers, please maintain it. You can’t have sparkling white teeth and bad breath,” he said.
His comment centered on the need for basic hygiene practices such as regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups, which help ensure that cosmetic improvements do not come at the expense of oral health.
He also implied that neglecting hygiene can undermine the purpose of cosmetic dental work, since issues like bad breath can still persist regardless of how polished the teeth appear.
The message shows a broader point about personal care, where aesthetic enhancements are expected to go hand-in-hand with everyday health habits rather than replace them.
