Odumodublvck has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to provide financial support for Nigerian artists, saying government funding could help musicians build stronger careers and reduce conflicts between artists and record labels.
The rapper made the appeal after Tinubu shared a post about his meeting with entertainment and media executive Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group in Paris.
Addressing the president, Odumodublvck asked him to consider providing advance payments to young artists through government funds. He said such support could also create opportunities for underground musicians who struggle to get noticed or secure proper backing.
Reacting to Tinubu’s post Blvck wrote:
“Baba come give boys advance from government funds. Na you go be the biggest label boss. Because of you, artists no go fight their labels and underground artists go see something.
“Baba, come sign all of us. And I mean all of us.
The rapper also criticised Nigerian politicians over the conditions many citizens face at home, particularly pointing to the fact that some politicians keep their families abroad.
“God take any Politician wey go make Nigerians crai again, I travel abroad everytime and I see them with their families there. Their families don’t stay here, they’re all selfish, even the ones that’re just coming and promising us they’ll be better”.
