Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, has conferred Oluremi Tinubu, the first lady, with the chieftaincy title of Utukpa-Oritse of Warri Kingdom

According to the palace, Utukpa-Oritse of the Warri Kingdom, also known as Ugbọnẹ́, is an honour symbolising heritage, service, and royal recognition.

The first lady was honoured on Thursday in Warri, Delta, at an event attended by top personalities, including Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, Sheriff Oborevwori, governor of the state, and Ifeanyi Okowa, former governor of Delta, among others.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the Warri palace said the first lady “was graciously conferred with a prestigious chieftaincy title by the King of Warri in a historic and dignified ceremony.”

In a statement posted on Facebook, the Warri palace said the first lady “was graciously conferred with a prestigious chieftaincy title by the King of Warri in a historic and dignified ceremony.”

“Her Excellency’s chieftaincy title is Utukpa-Oritse of the Warri kingdom, also known as Ugbọnẹ́ — a revered honour symbolising heritage, service, and royal recognition. Congratulations, Mama,” the statement reads.
