The Ondo State Government has announced that anyone convicted of k!dnapping in the state will face the d8ath penalty

Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kayode Ajulo (SAN), disclosed this on Saturday during a press briefing following the State Executive Council meeting held in Akure, the state capital.
Ajulo stated that any property or facility used to carry out or aid kidnapping activities would also be demolished, but only after following due legal process.
He explained that the state’s anti-kidnapping law would be amended by the Ondo State House of Assembly to include the death penalty provision.
Ajulo further revealed that the state is equally alarmed by rising cult-related activities and is committed to tackling the menace head-on.
“The governor, being a firm believer in the rule of law, will not act arbitrarily like in some other states. All actions will follow proper legal procedures,” he said.
He added that ensuring the safety of residents and investors is a top priority. “We must reassure investors that both they and their investments are protected in Ondo State,” Ajulo said.
