A Nigerian pastor has urged his church members to block VeryDarkMan on Facebook and unfollow him, accusing the online critic of discouraging people from attending church.
The pastor made the statement during a sermon, claiming that some people were now finding it difficult to go to church because of things VeryDarkMan had said.
Addressing his congregation, he said:
“VeryDarkMan, all of you need to bl0ck him on Facebook, unfollow that ant!chr!st. A lot of people are now staying at home and finding it difficult to come to church all because of what VDM said”.
The pastor’s comments come amid ongoing tensions between VeryDarkMan and some Nigerian religious leaders. The critic has previously called out pastors over their conduct and statements, including Pastor Arome Osayi and other clerics, questioning some of their actions and teachings.
His criticism of religious leaders has attracted attention, with some pastors and their followers taking issue with the things he says about the church.
