Pat McAfee is celebrating the birth of his second child after a tense few days for his family.
The sports personality announced on X that he and his wife, Samantha McAfee, recently welcomed a baby boy named Midas Robert McAfee. The couple’s son arrived on May 22 after Samantha underwent an emergency C-section due to complications linked to severe preeclampsia during her high-risk pregnancy.
Sharing the emotional update online, Pat wrote, “Baby boy officially entered the world on May 22nd at 10:42 PM as a 6lb 6oz screaming young legend … 10 toes, 10 fingers, full head of hair.”
McAfee explained that he and Samantha were able to spend some time with their newborn before doctors moved him to the NICU. According to Pat, the baby is receiving extra care to help his lungs develop after birth.
Despite the frightening experience, the family is now focused on recovery and enjoying time with their newest addition.
