Veteran actor Pete Edochie has recalled an emotional moment from the last time he met fellow veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
According to Pete, the meeting was deeply emotional, especially when Olu spoke about the many colleagues from their generation who had passed away.
In an interview, he said:
“Last time I met Olu, he looked at me with tears in his eyes, he said Pete, our mates are gone. Immediately he said it tears came to my eyes, when Olu was saying this, Sam Loco had gone, Esiri had gone, Pete Eneh, Enebeli, when he was saying this thing it was coming from his heart.”
Pete’s recollection paints a touching picture of two longtime colleagues looking back at the people they started the journey with and the number of familiar faces they had lost along the way.
For Pete, that final meeting with Olu remains a deeply personal memory, marked by the emotion of seeing another old friend reflect on their generation and those who were no longer there.
