Peter and Paul destroyed P-Square’s legacy - Daddy Showkey

Veteran singer Daddy Showkey has called on Peter and Paul Okoye to settle their differences, saying the problems between the brothers have taken a toll on the P-Square name.

During an interview with Goldmyne TV , Daddy Showkey said the group had grown into something much bigger than the two brothers who founded it. Millions of fans had become part of that journey, and he believes their interests should not be ignored.

“P-Square destroyed the biggest brand that Africa produced. P-Square isn’t for them alone,” he said.

The singer used his own career to explain why artistes should never forget the people who helped them get to where they are. He said an entertainer’s success is tied to the support of the public.

“As an entertainer I can decide to lock myself in my room and celebrate my 50 years on stage. I am celebrating because it is the people that made me Daddy Showkey”, he stated.

He added, “If the people have made you, you are not considering them but considering how much you guys are making.”

Daddy Showkey said the brothers should look beyond their present disagreement and think about what their continued conflict could mean for their families.

According to him, Peter and Paul remain brothers regardless of what happened between them, and there should be an effort to find a way forward.

“Dragging themselves like this, the future will tell. No matter what, you guys are brothers. No matter what, you should look for a place to resolve things because you have children, Tomorrow you will carry this beef to your children,”
he said.

He warned that leaving the matter unresolved could eventually affect the next generation.
