Cultural and age-grade groups made a vibrant appearance at the Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on Friday, showcasing rich traditional attire in a colourful celebration of heritage
Videos shared by EwesoOnline on Instagram captured the groups dressed in coordinated, heavily embroidered outfits that reflected deep cultural pride and identity.

Participants arrived in elegant agbadas, geles, and intricately beaded accessories, turning the festival grounds into a display of fashion, royalty, and tradition.
Held annually on the third day after Eid-el-Kabir, the festival draws thousands of attendees, including politicians, celebrities, and members of the Nigerian diaspora, all converging to honour Ijebu culture.

To ensure safety, the Ogun State Police Command deployed over 2,500 officers drawn from various tactical and specialised units.
Police spokesperson DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed that the deployment includes personnel from the Police Mobile Force, SWAT, the Violent Crime Response Unit, Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Monitoring Unit, Force Intelligence Department, and other operational teams tasked with maintaining security throughout the celebration.

WE can’t wait
are the organizer of this event outside Nigeria? didn’t they hear about the kidnapping, beheading and banditry around the country? if they would still do this even as the country bleeds, Nigeria is not ready for liberation
