Phyna, the BBNaija Level Up season winner, has buried her younger sister Ruth Otabor following a tragic road accident
Ruth, 24, was hit by a Dangote Group truck near Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State on August 13, 2025 – just six days after her graduation.
Ruth suffered severe injuries including the amputation of one leg, damage to the other, and injuries to her head and hand.
Ruth died on August 31 at about 6:30 a.m. due to complications from the accident.
Her burial took place in Ikorodu, with friends and ex-BBNaija housemates like Christy O and Groovy in attendance.
Ruth’s de.ath sparked public outrage, with calls for justice and improved corporate responsibility on road safety. Phyna was surrounded by friends and ex-housemates during the emotional burial ceremony.
