The Presidency through its Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, has denied claims that the President is set to visit the United States on Tuesday to meet with Vice President J.D. Vance
In a statement posted on his official X account on Monday, Ajayi labeled the report as false and misleading.

He addressed that any potential visit to the White House would involve a meeting with US President Donald Trump, not the Vice President.
“There’s a story that President Tinubu is going to the U.S. on Tuesday to see U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance. That story is not true. I can see that the fake news by Sahara has become the basis for some uninformed commentaries since yesterday. If President Tinubu is going to the White House, he won’t be going to see a Vice President,” Ajayi wrote.
Earlier, the Presidency, through Special Adviser on Policy Communication Daniel Bwala, noted that President Tinubu and President Trump share common interests in combating insurgency and terrorism, with a meeting possible either in Abuja or Washington, D.C., in the coming days.
Bwala added on X: “Both President @officialABAT and President @realDonaldTrump have shared interest in the fight against insurgency and all forms of terrorism against humanity. President Trump has assisted Nigeria by authorizing the sale of arms, and President Tinubu has effectively used this support in the fight against terrorism, with significant results to show for it. Any differences over whether terrorists target only Christians or people of all faiths would be addressed directly by the two leaders when they meet, either in State House or White House.”
