Raphinha has been officially crowned La Liga Player of the Season for 2024/25, capping off a sensational year in which he played a decisive role in guiding FC Barcelona to a domestic treble
The Brazilian winger was the heartbeat of Hansi Flick’s side, helping the club secure the La Liga title, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.
In the league alone, he registered 18 goals and 11 assists across 36 appearances, directly contributing to nearly 30 goals.
Across all competitions, his tally rose to an astonishing 34 goals and 25 assists in 57 matches—an elite return by any standard.
While Raphinha led the UEFA Champions League in both goals (13) and assists, he was controversially overlooked for the Player of the Tournament award.
Despite the snub on the European stage, La Liga ensured his brilliance didn’t go unrecognized at home.
What makes his season even more remarkable is the context—Raphinha was close to leaving Barcelona last summer. But under the guidance of new manager Hansi Flick, he chose to stay.
