Fort Worth-based rapper Ronnie “G$ Lil Ronnie” Smith was tragically k!lled on March 3, 2025, in a shooting at Slappy’s Express Car Wash in Forest Hill, Texas

His 5-year-old daughter, who had just celebrated her birthday, was also fatally shot in the attack.
According to reports, two men approached Smith’s vehicle and opened fire before fleeing in a four-door Kia. Despite efforts by first responders, both victims were pronounced d3ad at the scene.
Authorities have identified a suspect and issued an arrest warrant, though the name has not been released publicly. The investigation is ongoing as police search for those responsible.
G$ Lil Ronnie was a well-known figure in the North Texas rap scene, gaining popularity with songs like Red Roses and Wops. He had around 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and a strong social media following.
The tragic shooting has sparked an outpouring of grief from fans and the hip-hop community, with many mourning the loss of the rapper and his young daughter.
