Afrobeats singer Rema has made a memorable appearance at the 2024 World Footballer of the Year event on October 28.
He wore a black jacket paired with a matching skirt, which led to mixed reactions online, with some people expressing discomfort.
A photo shared by online showed fans commenting on the outfit’s high cost, saying the skirt “could pay for many expenses.”
This isn’t Rema’s first Ballon d’Or appearance—he also performed at the 2023 ceremony, dressed in a black jacket and trousers.
At this year’s 68th Ballon d’Or, Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri won the award at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, France.
