The pupils rescued from captivity in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have been reunited with their families after undergoing medical treatment
Parents were seen breaking down in tears as they embraced their children for the first time after spending 56 days away in the forest.

During the reunion, officials called out the names of the pupils one after another while anxious family members waited to receive them.
Among the names announced were Testimony, Aliyu Ahmed, Abati Elizabeth and Adeleke Joshua, prompting emotional scenes as relatives stepped forward with tears, prayers and celebrations.
Many parents openly wept, while others offered heartfelt prayers of thanksgiving as they hugged their children.
One mother, reunited with her daughter, Testimony, thanked God and everyone involved in securing the children’s release.
“I give thanks! My merciful God, I give thanks. I never knew my child, Testimony, would return to me alive. Ah! What am I that You love me so much?
“Our President Tinubu, Governor Seyi Makinde, the police, the army—may God be with them all—as well as the pastors and every single person who fasted and prayed for my Testimony who was lost in the forest. Lord, I thank you. I thank you so, so much,” she said.
Hospital staff were also seen overseeing the discharge process and helping families as they prepared to leave with their children.
