Actress and philanthropist, Sarah Martins has received N20 million from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, just days after she was arrested by the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) for allegedly obstructing sidewalks while distributing free meals to the needy
A representative of Seyi Tinubu met with Sarah to deliver the financial support, explaining that the gesture was meant to help her continue her charitable work in a safer and more organized manner.
“We want you to get a proper space where public health and safety will not be compromised,” the representative said. “When you secure a shop, Seyi Tinubu will also take responsibility for equipping it with state-of-the-art industrial cooking equipment. This is just to help you start.”
He further explained that although Seyi was currently out of the country, he personally follows Sarah’s work online and was moved by her passion to feed the vulnerable.
“Seyi is a philanthropist. He sees all that you do, and this is his way of encouraging you to keep going — but in line with government rules and regulations,” the representative added.
An emotional Sarah Martins expressed her gratitude, saying, “Seyi Tinubu sent me ₦20 million support for what I do. I’m short of words, I’m literally speechless. God bless you, Mr. Seyi Tinubu. This means so much to me and to the street kids.”
