Saudi Arabia has appointed Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid as the new Grand Mufti and Chairman of the Senior Council of Scholars
The appointment was approved by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques following the d3ath of Sheikh Abdulaziz, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 82.
Sheikh bin Humaid, who currently serves as one of the nine Imams of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, will now assume the top religious role in the Kingdom.
