Earlier reports indicated that armed men wielding firearms and cutlasses stormed the Senator’s family residence in Obeiba-Ihima, Kogi State, around 1:00 a.m., damaging parts of the building, including shattering windows.

Confirming the incident in an exclusive interview with Naija News, the Senator’s Chief Press Secretary, Arogbonlo Israel, condemned the assault, calling it a “brazen and calculated attack.”

“We condemn the attack on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s family house. Armed men, wrongly believing the Senator was present, vandalized windows at her grandfather’s home. Security operatives responded swiftly and repelled the attackers,” he said.

Israel linked the attack to the Senator’s recent allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, whom she accused of s3xual harassment.

“This calculated assault appears to be a direct response to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s bold stance against Senate President Akpabio. We call on the Inspector General of Police to immediately reinstate her security details,” he added.

The Senator also shared her account of the incident: “Two days ago, my younger brother led contractors to inspect sites for projects I attracted to my senatorial district. The attackers must have assumed I was in town. That night, they stormed our family house. Thankfully, the civil defence team and community members intervened quickly and chased them away. No one was hurt, and a report was filed at the police area command.”
