Seun Kuti has debunked the rumours surrounding his early departure from Peller and Jarvis’ wedding, saying the internet got it all wrong
Recall Seun had left the hall during the ceremony, prompting speculation that he walked out after the MC allegedly said Wizkid was bigger than his late father, Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
However, while speaking alongside Fuji singer Malaika, Seun dismissed the claims, explaining that he simply left the wedding because he wanted to head to the New Afrika Shrine and not because he was offended by any remarks made during the event.
He said:
“I left the wedding to go to the Shrine, and these bloggers twisted things, saying I was angry. Maybe I should have danced out of the ceremony.”
So there we have it, case closed!
