The uproar began after Darlington admitted during a live video that he had an intimate encounter with a minor.
This confession sparked widespread outrage, with many demanding his immediate arrest.
His former lawyer has now responded with a series of proverbs.
He posted: “Those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad – African Proverb.
The fly that does not heed advice will always follow the corpse to the grave – another African proverb.
Enough said.”
Authorities are already investigating the claim.
