Global music icons Shakira and Burna Boy lit up the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with an electrifying performance of “Dai Dai,” captivating fans with a colourful blend of music, dance and energy.
Shakira took the stage after J Balvin’s performance and instantly ignited the atmosphere as she opened the tournament’s official anthem. The Colombian singer thrilled spectators with her trademark dance moves before Burna Boy made a dramatic entrance to thunderous cheers from the crowd.
The duo shared the stage in a lively performance, dancing together as fans erupted in excitement.

“Dai Dai” is the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and also promotes the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a programme focused on improving access to education worldwide.
Supported by a group of dancers, Shakira delivered a polished choreography display, while Burna Boy brought his signature stage presence, performing alongside his dance crew.
The show ended on a high note as both stars reunited at centre stage, leading the audience in the song’s closing chant: “Dale, allez, let’s go!”
