Senator Sarafadeen Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has emerged winner of the Oyo State APC governorship primary election
Alli secured a landslide victory after polling 578,143 votes to defeat other contenders in the race. Senator Buhari came second with 37,265 votes, while former Minister of Power Bayo Adelabu polled 19,193 votes.

Following the result, businessman and Okanlomo Odua/Bada Olubadan, Dotun Sanusi, congratulated Alli on his victory, describing it as a reflection of the trust and confidence the people have in his leadership.
In a statement released yesterday, Sanusi said the outcome of the primary showed the overwhelming support for Alli’s vision and commitment to the development of Oyo State.
He also appreciated members of the APC, the ROCOF/JDS group, market men and women, alongside loyal supporters for their dedication and efforts throughout the process.
According to him, the victory belongs to every progressive-minded person seeking a better and more prosperous Oyo State.
Sanusi added that the result should serve as motivation for greater victories ahead as members of the party continue to move forward in unity and determination.
