Morgan Wallen, a popular country singer, was arrested after throwing a chair from a rooftop bar in Nashville. He was reportedly upset about his ex-fiancée eloping with someone else.
The incident, captured on video, shows Wallen’s outburst toward police officers on Sunday night. The chair he threw landed dangerously close to the officers.
Wallen was booked and released on bond, facing charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
His ex-fiancée’s marriage announcement reportedly deeply affected him. Wallen and his ex have a child together, and he had proposed to her in the past.
This isn’t Wallen’s first run-in with the law. He was previously arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
The incident occurred at Chiefs Bar, owned by country artist Eric Church, during its grand opening celebration.
Wallen’s actions have sparked controversy, especially given his upcoming plans to open his own bar in Nashville.
