At least six people have d!ed and two others injured in a road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near the NASFAT junction in Ogun State
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command, confirmed the crash in a statement on Thursday, noting that it occurred around 2:36 pm.

The incident involved a Mazda commercial bus and a Volvo truck. The FRSC attributed the crash to overspeeding.
SRC Odunsi Afolabi, the FRSC sector spokesperson, said eight people were involved in total, with six dying at the scene and two sustaining injuries. Some of the injured were reportedly taken to an unknown hospital by bystanders before emergency responders arrived, while others were treated at Famobis Hospital, Lotto. The bodies of those who died were deposited at a morgue.
FRSC Corps Commander in Ogun State, Akinwumi O. Fasakin, has ordered a full investigation into the crash. Rescue operations involved personnel from the Mowe Unit, Ibafo Outpost, and ambulance teams from the Ojota Unit Command, alongside police officers and TRACE operatives.
FRSC officials were also seen clearing the wreckage at the scene following the fatal accident.
