Singer Skales has reflected on the challenges he has faced in the music industry, recalling betrayal, false claims and attempts by some people to downplay his achievements.
The singer said people he believed were on the same team with him turned against him after gaining the spotlight.
In a post he shared on his X , he wrote:
“In this industry I was betrayed ,lied upon called a jealous person ,people that I thought we were on the same team told many lies bout me because they got the spotlight and sold different agendas pushed to downplay my greatness but this is 2 decades in and the boy is still shining and more relevant than ever..No better help than Gods mercy ….God bless my mom for teaching me how to pray”.
In another slide, Skales warned against the growing culture of beef in the Nigerian music industry, saying the hostility being promoted could have tragic consequences.
” One day all this beef that yall are promoting will cause the loss of lives in this Nigerian music industry. pls yall better stop before it’s too late … love is cheaper than hate so is respect”, he added.
The singer called for an end to the hostility, urging those involved in the industry to choose love and respect over hate.
