Social commentator Solomon Buchi has criticized media personality Daddy Freeze over his comments about the service of songs held in honour of actor Alex Ekubo.
Daddy Freeze had earlier expressed concerns about the tone and organization of the event, describing parts of it as resembling a concert rather than a solemn mourning gathering, he also criticised pastor Jerry Eze and gospel minister Nathaniel Bassey, questioning why they their power can’t heal Alexx while on the sick bed.
Reacting strongly, Solomon Buchi accused him of being disrespectful and said his presence at the event was not in honour of the late actor. He alleged that Daddy Freeze focused more on pointing out errors than paying tribute.
“You are such a disgrace. You didn’t go there to honor Alex Ekubo, but to write a list of errors. At your 50 you are still acting disgraceful. So you went to Alex’s service of songs not to mourn him as a friend but you went for criticism. All about yourself, everything is about yourself selfish self,” he said.
He further questioned the motive behind his attendance and criticized what he described as unnecessary commentary on the event’s dress code and atmosphere, adding that such actions were disrespectful to the late actor’s memory.
