Anambra State First Lady, Nonye Soludo, has fired back at APC deputy governorship candidate Uche Ekwunife, daring her to take a Catholic oath of fidelity and present her children for DNA verification in London hospitals
In a strongly worded statement on Saturday, Mrs Soludo dismissed Ekwunife’s allegations of infidelity, giving her 72 hours to retract the claims and issue a public apology or face legal action.

“In my 55 years on earth, I have known only one man, Chukwuma Soludo. I married him as a virgin, and my loyalty to him through 33 years of marriage and for life is unshakable,” she declared.
She challenged Ekwunife to a public oath-taking ceremony: “Since she claims to be a converted Catholic, I call on her to join me in swearing an oath of fidelity and chastity at any Cathedral before the Blessed Sacrament. I will also swear with my children that I have known only one man, Chukwuma Soludo. She should swear with her children or her political ambitions that she has never been unfaithful since marriage.”
Mrs Soludo further proposed DNA tests for both families, to be conducted in three London hospitals, assuring she would foot the bill.
“If the results confirm your husband is the father of all your children, I will personally congratulate you with a cash prize. My family is ready for the test anytime you choose,” she said.
The heated exchange follows a viral video where Ekwunife accused Soludo of having an affair with the late Anambra governor, Chinwoke Mbadinuju, and questioned the paternity of her children.
Ekwunife, however, dismissed the ultimatum in a separate statement, insisting she owes Soludo no response.
“Mrs Soludo does not owe me any explanation about her family issues. If my statement upset her, she should address her husband, not me. Her challenge and calls for tests have nothing to do with me,” Ekwunife said.
