Veteran Nollywood actress Eucharia Anunobi has shared a message about hard work and starting small.
Her statement sounds like a subtle reference to recent remarks by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu about people making money through businesses like selling akara, roasted corn and kulikuli.
In a video, the actress spoke about the growing habit young women always asking for “urgent ₦2k” instead of finding simple ways to earn an income.
“Every time you’ll be asking for urgent ₦2k. Haven’t you heard you can start a small-scale business like akara and roasted corn? How else will you become a billionaire?” she said.
Eucharia encouraged people not to look down on small businesses, saying ventures like frying akara, roasting corn or making kulikuli can become profitable over time. She added that everyone has to start somewhere and jokingly said a person could one day become the “Chairlady of Alakara” before growing into a millionaire.
She also said God blesses the work of people’s hands and urged people to stop snoozing, get up, start a business and keep working towards becoming billionaires.
