This comic, known as “Action Comics No. 1,” introduced Superman to the world and kickstarted the Golden Age of comics. Despite being 86 years old, the comic was remarkably well-preserved, with vibrant colors and minimal wear.

Written by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the comic tells the story of Superman’s origins as an alien sent to Earth, escaping the destruction of his home planet. It also introduces his iconic love interest, Lois Lane.

Only a handful of copies in better condition exist, with just 100 estimated to survive out of the 200,000 originally printed. Individual pages from this issue have fetched up to $60,000 each, highlighting its immense value.

This sale surpasses previous records, including a 2021 auction where another copy of “Action Comics No. 1” sold for $3.25 million. Superman’s enduring popularity has cemented his status as a cultural icon, with numerous adaptations across various media over the years.
