Panic broke out on Wednesday after a petrol-laden tanker went up in flames along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, directly in front of the NASFAT Camp

Eyewitnesses said the tanker fell while in motion and burst into flames shortly after, sending thick black smoke into the air and causing chaos among motorists and residents nearby.
An X user, @SegunOladejo_, who identifies as #EndSARS Segun | Legal, posted, “A tanker is burning on Lagos-Ibadan expressway just opposite NASFAT praying ground. The fire is horrible.”
As of the time of filing this report, emergency responders had yet to arrive at the scene.
This latest incident follows a similar tanker explosion on Monday between the Oremeji and Olorunsogo areas of the same expressway. While no casualties were reported in that case, the fire caused major traffic disruptions and took hours to extinguish, with the Oyo State Fire Service eventually bringing it under control.
