Taylor Swift has officially joined the world’s richest individuals, making her debut on the Forbes World’s Billionaires List.
The renowned American pop star entered the list with a staggering net worth of $1.1 billion, alongside Sam Altman, the creator of the AI chatbot ChatGPT, who also reached the billionaire milestone with $1 billion.
Topping the chart are Bernard Arnault and his family, the powerhouse behind LVMH, the French luxury goods conglomerate, with an estimated wealth of $233 billion.
Forbes reported a record-breaking total of 2,781 billionaires for the year 2024, representing a significant increase from previous years and reflecting a collective wealth of $14.2 trillion.
Taylor Swift’s inclusion on the list comes as no surprise given her monumental success in the music industry, highlighted by her recent Grammy Award triumphs and the remarkable sales of her album “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”
Swift’s influence extends beyond music, with her presence even impacting NFL viewing figures when attending games to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Among the top 10 wealthiest individuals globally, eight are from the United States, primarily from the technology sector.
Chase Peterson-Withorn, Forbes’s senior editor on wealth, emphasized the remarkable year for the world’s richest, noting the emergence of 14 centi-billionaires with 12-figure fortunes despite global financial uncertainties.
