Tems, a leading Nigerian musician, has shown her support for the Nigerian people by postponing the release of her new music video.
The Grammy-winning artist announced the delay of her music video for the single ‘Burning’ due to the nationwide protests against hardship and poor governance.

On August 1, 2024, Tems shared on her X account, “Out of respect for the ongoing protest at home, I have decided to postpone the release of the Burning music video. Praying for the safety of those outside at this time. May the voice of the people be heard.”

Her decision is among the many responses from artists and celebrities like Vector, Omah Lay, Adekunle Gold, Spyro, Mr Macaroni, Iyabo Ojo, and Konstance, who have supported the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement on X.
Fans and observers have praised Tems for her empathy and solidarity with the struggling Nigerian populace. The singer has not announced a new release date for the music video, which is from her debut album ‘Born In The Wild,’ but it is expected to come out after the protests.
